Back in the day, I wrote without a script. Presto didn’t have a script, nor did the first Google Spotlight Story, Windy Day. I wrote both with the help of their brilliant story teams and in the
case of Presto, the guidance of Pixar’s braintrust.
However, it wasn’t until working on Storks with Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The
Muppets) that I saw how fun writing can be. Nick is so free and silly, open and improvisational,
completely incapable of writer’s block. After watching his process, I wrote longer stories of my
own, selling a limited series to Disney+ in 2020.
These days I prefer scripting and do so for my branded content with Psyop. Supercell and Dream Games are both wonderful clients with whom I continue to work.
